Claire Wilson received a BFA from the University of Utah in 2012, where she studied Fine Art and Anthropology, and received an MA in Art from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 2017. Currently, she is focused on making kinetic sculpture—using a process that she calls “caveman robotics”. Wilson’s work is informed by the representation of extraterrestrials within popular culture, the structures of language and ritual, and artifacts—topics that she approaches with a subversive sense of humor. Claire is currently an instructor of record at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, teaching Art 212: Drawing Methods and Concepts. Her work is represented by Phillips Gallery in Salt Lake City, UT.
