Claire Wilson received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 2018, an MA in 2017, and a BFA from the University of Utah in 2012—where she studied Fine Art and Anthropology. Currently, she is focused on making kinetic sculpture and sound experiments—using a process that she calls “cavewoman robotics”. Wilson’s work is rooted in her interest in playful absurdity, and using it as a method to examine the structures of culture and communication. Claire is currently an instructor of record at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, teaching Art 212: Drawing Methods and Concepts. Her work is represented by Phillips Gallery in Salt Lake City, UT.
